Situated in the close vicinity to the Indo-Tibetian border, Adi Kailash is one of the preeminent sights of natural beauty. Adi Kailsash is also known as Chotta Kailash. It is said to be natural imitation of Mount Kailash that is situated in Tibet. The place offer views to panoramic sites filled with silence of nature. Along the banks of the sarovar there is a Temple of Lord Shiva and Goddess Paravti. The Adi Kailash is considered as the most revered substitute of Mount Kailash as per the Chinese beliefs.

En route to Adi Kailash, there are many worth watching natural sights as in snow peaks of Annapurna, dense forests, Narayan Ashram comprising wild flowers, gushing Kali River, rare variation s of fruits and numerous captivating sights to waterfalls. Furthermore, Mount Adi kailash and Parvati Sarovar are holy place of Kumaon Himalayas that are revered by the locals there.

Om Parvat

On the way to Gunji, the Kailash Mansarovar path divulges off to Kalapani where the Kali River commences. Starting from here 9kms away is Navidhang Lipupass that is perched at a high altitude of 3987mts above sea level. Glimpse of Om Parvat is clearly visible from Navidhang. The Parvat is name as “OM” because snow on the mountain rests in the shape of “OM”, the primordial sound. Though the slopes of the Parvat may be found devoid of any snow but the inscription of snow as “OM” is perpetual. To the viewers it appears as an incarnation of Lord Shiva.
